he Burlington Times-News Nov. 14, 2000 Mrs.. Joy Thompson Sharpe SNOW CAMP — Mrs.. Joy Thompson Sharpe, 84, of 4565 Bass Mountain Road., died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at home after two years of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Mr. Albert W. Sharpe, who survives, and the daughter of Mr. Jasper T. Thompson and Mrs.. Lydia Record Thompson, both deceased. She was retired from Burlington Industries. She was a member of Mount Hermon United Methodist Church. Survivors other than her husband of the home include a daughter, Ms. Linda Coble of Haw River; a sister, Mrs.. Debbie Lea of Burlington; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Belmont United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rick Moser, pastor of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in Bellemont United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will be at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Hone in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home.
