The Burlington Daily Times-News April 7, 1973 Mrs. Lydia R. Thompson

    Mrs. Lydia Record Thompson, 97, of Rt. 2, Snow Camp died this morning at 1 o'clock in a local hospital following several years of declining health and one week of critical illness.
    A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Nancy Coble Record and the wife of the late Jasper Talton Thompson, who died in 1955.
    She was a member of Cane Creek Friends Meeting.
    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George Lea of Rt. 3, Burlington, and Mrs. Albert Sharpe of Rt. 2, Snow Camp; one grandchild and one greatgrandchild.
    Final rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Cane Creek Friends Meeting with the Rev. Hadley Robertson, pastor, officiating assisted by the Rev. Curtis Oakley, pastor of Riverside Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
    Pallbearers will be Elbert Scott, Harlan Thompson, Ed Thompson, Finley Thompson, Arnold Lee Thompson and J. P. Thompson.
    The body will remain at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minute before the service. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and at the residence of Mrs. Albert Sharpe of Rt. 2, Snow Camp at other times.
