September 10, 2007 7:07 PM Albert Wesley Sharpe SNOW CAMP — Mr. Albert Wesley Sharpe, 89, a resident of Liberty Commons and formerly of Bass Mountain Road, Snow Camp, died at Liberty Commons on Monday, September 10, 2007 at 1:05 p.m. following eight weeks of illness. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Belle Mathis Sharpe and the late Joy Thompson Sharpe and the son of Clyde C. Sharpe and Bessie Overman Sharpe, both deceased. He was the retired owner of Sharpe’s Welding. He was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church and the Mountain View Ruritan Club. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Linda Coble Braxton and husband, Elmer, of Haw River; one sister, Mrs. Helen Morris of Burlington; one granddaughter, Mrs. Julie Murr of Snow Camp; and one great-granddaughter, Crystal Isley. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence H. Sharpe and Ned K. Sharpe. The funeral will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Robert Shelton. Burial will follow in Bellemont United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham on Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
