BURLINGTON — Mr. Ned K. Sharpe, 83, of 3027 S-3 Maple Avenue, Burlington, died at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 3:20 p.m. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Dorothy Jean McNair Sharpe, and the son of Clyde C. Sharpe and Bessie Overman Sharpe, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving during World War II. He was retired from Burlington Industries. He was a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Sharpe Brann and husband, Mike, of Swannanoa, N.C.; one son, Kenneth "Buzz" Sharpe and wife, Delana, of Climax, N.C.; one granddaughter, Michele Leigh Clausen and husband, Charles, of Leicester, N.C.; one great-grandson, Sean Nicholas Clausen of Leicester, N.C.; one sister, Helen Morris of Burlington; and one brother, Albert Sharpe of Burlington. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence Sharpe. The funeral will be conducted at Bellemont United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 2 p.m. by Dr. Holt Clarke. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to Bellemont United Methodist Church, 4039 Markwood Drive, Burlington, N.C. 27215
