Joseph Sever served in the Revolution War in the Massachusetts Line. He applied for a pension on 11 April 1818 in Worcester County, MA. In 1820, the soldier was aged 69 and a resident of Northborough, Massachusetts, and the soldier had lived there during the Revolution and died there in 1829. A son William Seaver (as he signed) wrote a letter of inquiry 18 November 1852 from Northborough, Massachusetts (Revolutionary War Pension File, S33636).
