In the name of God Amen, the tewntieth day of September [blank] In the year of our Lord God Everlasting, I Joseph Carle Sr. of the Township of Hempstead in Queen's County within the Province of New York, Yeoman being sick and weak but of good and perfect memory thanks be to God so make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say.
My heavenly Father by whom of his Meek and only Grace I must be saved and received into eternal Rest through the Death of my Saviour and Redeemer Jesus Christ in whose most precious Blood I set the whole and only Hope of my Salvation my wretched Body my hope of a joyful Resurrection I commit to the Earth to be buried and touching the Dishiberation of my mortal and worldly Good I dispose of the same as followeth that is to say...
Imprimis I will that all such Debts as I owe or in any ways indebted to any person or persons shall be duely paid.
Item I give and bequeth unto my beloved son Joseph and to his Heirs, Executors administrators and assignees all and singular my Real and personall Estate Lands Meadows, Rights of Land and Premises with the household goods and chattels whensoever the same may be found Excepting such part and parcel of the Personal Estate of which I owe at this present ___ized of as is hereafter given and bequeathed that is to say.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter the Sum of eighty pounds lawful money of New York and my largest chest with drawer therein a large pewter dish and a pair of Tongs to her and her assignees for Ever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto Amos Sinning and Elizabeth Sinning my grandchildren, the son 2 daughterws of Michah. Sinning each of them and their heirs Executors, administrators and assignees immediately after my decease which said sums of money shall in case of my death before they be of lawful age be put out at interest for their and each of their use and tises for Ever unless they or either of them respectively demand the same when they come to be of lawful age as aforesaid.
Item: I give and bequeath unto Pheeby and Jeremiah the two daughters of Samuel Peters one cow and calf to be sold and divided between them equally and to their assignees for ever.
Item: I make and ordain the aforesaid Joseph Carle and Samuel Peters be the executors of thjis my last will and testament whereby revoking and dismantling all former wills and testaments by me at any time before made by our executor.
In witness whereof, I the said Joseph Carle have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above first written.
