[Note: this is not a credible source. It does not tell what the date is based on. Is it based on a town record? A gravestone? A probate file? It does not even say where the death occurred. Other unsourced websites attach an age 85 to this death date and place it in Hollis, i.e., not to this man, suggesting it was grabbed solely to have a date without knowing if it was valid. No such record has been found in the United States after diligent searching. A credible source is needed to make this believable.]
  4.   This Jonathan Powers did not marry Susannah Willoughby. That marriage conflicts with several facts, one being the documented marriage to Love Pearson. This man was of Lancaster, and so would not be called Jonathan Powers of Dunstable, as was the husband of Susannah Willoughby in the marriage record. There was a Jonathan Powers of Dunstable who would have been the person named. Jonathan and Susannah lived in Dunstable, NH, and have their children born there. This Jonathan Powers is not old enough to have had a previous wife, and circumstantial evidence says Susannah's husband did (e.g., see Find A Grave regarding location of Bridget Powers grave next to children of Jonathan and Susannah, also no son named Jonathan born to wife Susannah). This Jonathan Powers, however, was of Lancaster, living in Lancaster in 1762 when he was given land in Lancaster by his father Jonathan Powers who was also of Lancaster, married in 1767 in Lancaster, living in nearby Princeton in 1779 when he sold the land he was given by his father. A detailed explanation is given on Person:Jonathan Powers (1), the page of the Jonathan Powers who did marry Susannah Willoughby.
