[Note: Source:Amidon, Lee Earll. Powers Family : A Record of Walter Power of Concord, Massachusetts and Related Families, p. 19, asserts this is 19 Mar 1745. Whether this was based on his own reading of the records, or an assumption of error based on the baptism date and the conflict with Silas, is not known, but 1748 DOES appear to be wrong. (The online copy did not film p. 77 (cited by this source), as 76 is followed by 78?) However, since he reported the baptism as 1746 and it is actually 1747, it is not clear that 1745 is correct either, as 1746 would be more typical. Since the church records are chronological, the baptism seems to be the only thing that is known with confidence.]
