BURIAL: 11 iv 1784 at East Looe(Cornwall East Division Monthly Meeting).

OCCUPATION: Schoolmaster Jonas Binns was under Thomas Bennett, schoolmaster at Pickwick, Wiltshire, England [Friend's Historical Journal]. For the most part he walked orderly but can't say it was so wholly or altogether, indiscretion of youth prevailing in some degree to his disadvantage and sorrow, which he has acknowledged in a letter to his former Master, Thomas Bennett. From 1750 kept aschool for Quaker children (G.J.Binns).

RESIDENCES: 1708 - At birth - Cragtop, Yorkshire, Engalnd. 1734 - Pickwick, Wiltshire, England. Removed into Somersetshire 28 March 1744 - Came into Yorkshire, England. 1763 - Removes with his family to West Looe in Cornwall, England.

OBITUARY: He only of the old stock forfeited the Society of Friends. He went through much trouble for the offence as may be seen by his letters. And it is believed (he) did sincerely repent of his misconduct and that he ended his days well.
