BIRTH: There is a disagreement between documents on date of birth. The date 31 vii 1741 (Leicester) is an invalid date [Julian Calendar].

DEATH: At age of 86 years.

OCCUPATION: Sergemaker: The Devon and Cornwall Record Society records Vol.23 New Series "The Devon Cloth Industry in the Eighteenth Century" subtitled Sun Fire Office Inventories of Merchants and Manufacturers Properties [ed. Chapman, Univ. ofNottingham, 1974], page 111 reads "24 Mar 1767 [174/243782] Hshldgds in his dwho., stone, cob and slated £50; utensils and stk therein £150; Ho., cellar, stables, linney in Bovey Tracey, called Rockwell Ho. now empty, stone, cob and thatched, £100 Teacher: Thomas went to Ackworth to an appointment of £84 perannum with a free house and probably rations. The £30 granted was probably to help him to remove himself, his wife and six children from Looe to Yorkshire. (G.J. Binns) ... 1782. Removed to Bristol ... 1793.
