Facts and Events
Immigrated to New England on the Elizabeth and Ann in 1635. Admitted as freeman on March 3, 1636. Settled in Watertown, Massachusetts. He was town clerk in 1655. Was baptized July 20, 1592, at St. Margaret's Church, Westminister, London. In England, he had been a member of the Merchant - Taylor's (Tailor's) Company. He served as an apprentice to one of the company's members and later became a full member. He later took his younger brother, Peter, as an apprentice and later as a member of the company.
