In 1667-1668 Benjamin resided in Cocheco, New Hampshire (appears on a list of inhabitants taken from Dover Town Records). From 1668 he risided in York, York, Maine (as appears by the Registry of Deeds, Vol. III, p 451-452). On 5 April, 1670, John Whitney sold to Benjamin Whitney, land in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts, the former's house, barn and all his land about the home (about 17 acres, bounded N. by John Sherman; E. & S. by William Bond; and W. by Martin Underwood. On 9 March, 1671, Benjamin sold to Dea Joshua Whitney, land in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts, with the consent of his father, for L40, all right to his father's homestead obtained 5 April 1670. On 3 April 1673, Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts, he is mentioned in his father's will: will of john Whitney Senior of Watertown; son John Whitney; son Richard Whitney; son Thomas Whitney; son Jonathan Whitney; son Joshua Whitney; son Benjamin Whitney; sons John Whitney and Joshuah Whitny, executors; friend William Bond Senior, overseer; witnesses, William Bond Senior, Sarah Bond Senior; signed by mark. On 4 February 1717, he is mentioned in the will of his nephew: will of Benjamin Whitney of Sherburn, husbandman; wife Mercy Witne; cousin James Whittne, son of myu brother John Whittne, brother Jonath Whittne, brother Josiah Whittne, brother Joseph Whittne, brother in law Major Adams, brother in law Cornelius Fisher, Marcy and Elizabeth
