JOHN WATTS 

 John B. Watts was born in Warren county, Ind., Jan. 16th, 1847, and died in Rob Roy, Fountain county, Feb. 4th, 1900, aged 53 years and 19 days.  He was married to Jane Foreman Aug 30th, 1869.  To them six children were born.  Three survive him.  They are Nora, wife of P. T. Clawson; Estella, wife of W. H. Clawson, and Millard Watts.  They are all living in Rob Roy.  Jane Watts died Jan 9th, 1888.  He was married again to Emma Clawson Aug. 25th, 1889.  To them one child was born.  It only lived a few days.  He was the youngest of a family of 12 children, seven boys and five girls.  Three brothers and one sister survive him.  They are Joel Watts of Fountain, Ind.; Wm. Watts of Kansas; Joseph Watts, supposed to be in Oregon, and Sarah Dalby, Muncie, Ill.  John Watts was liked by all who knew him.  He not only made friends wherever he went but he retained them.  His funeral was conducted Feb 6th at the family residence by G. L. Foster and Solon Brier, where a large concourse of friends and relatives were gathered to pay their last tribute to the earthly remains of one they loved.
