John, age 5, was found with his parents on the 1850 Census with middle initial of 'M' which should have been 'N'. He was found on the 1870 Iowa, Cass County, Brighton with his sister Elizabeth and her husband Wilson Dye. He was 24 and appeared single.

Nelson, age 34, and family are found in the 1880 Census for Jefferson, Noble Co, Indiana living with his father, John Potts. John's name is misspelled so that it doesn't show up in searches. It is spelled Johm Potts.

There is a cemetery listing for Myrta Potts, d/o JN & SJ.
