Facts and Events
If Harriet was 7 in 1850 she should have been born in Indiana for her parents settled there in 1841. But the 1850, 1880 & 1900 census says she was born in Ohio. Noble Co. marriage records:Potts Harriet D, ca 1843, Brink Alexander H, Potts John, Jackson Mary, 1-28 Brink Alexander H, ca 1836, Potts Harriet D, --, --, 4 Jul 1859 "I found record of a probate with names of John's children listed. It gives an idea of who the female children were married to at the time of his death: Potts John, d. 1-18-1888 Fd: 2-1-1888. Ch: Abigail J. Craven, Ira Potts. Heirs: Owen S., John N. Potts, Ida M. Steele, Elizabeth B. Dye, Harriet D. Brink." From Sharon Corcoran's research The 1880 and 1900 Minnesota, Todd County Census were very difficult to read.
