Indenture 24 April 1851 Between John McCrone Jr. of Appoquinimink Hundred of New Castle County, Delaware and Mary Elizabeth his wife, and Benjamin Crawford of Cecil County, Maryland and Ann J. his wife, of the first part and John M. Naudain of Appoquinimink Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware of the other part Whereas Arnold L. Naudain late of New Castle County, Delaware deceased owned divers tracts of land in New Castle County and made his last will and testament dated 11 February 1845, stating among other things: "I give and bequeath to my children Ann J. Short, John M. Naudain and Mary E. Naudain my farm where John M. Naudain nowresides lying on the East side of the State Road leading from Middletown to Black bird and adjoining lands of A. Snow Naudain and lias L. Naudain to each of them share and share alike . . . " And the will was proved . . . And Mary Elizabeth Naudain was afterword intermarried with John McCrone and Ann J. Short who afterward married Benjamin Crawford . . . interited the land in Tail, and by Act of the General Assembly transferred the land to Lawrence M Naudain in fee, who reconveyed the land to the original heirs in fee simple Now John McCrone Jr. and Mary Elizabeth his wife and Benjamin M. Crawford and Ann J. his wife for and in consideration of $6,666.66 paid in equal moities by John M. Indenture 25 Mar 1865 Between James S. McCrone, John McCrone, Leontine N. McWhorter and Dr. James R. Andre, executors of the last will and testament of John McCrone late of the Hundred and County of New Castle and State of Delaware, deceased and Thomas Holcomb of the same place Whereas John McCrone deceased in his life time owned land bounded by land owned by the heirs of John Peach, land owned by the heirs of Edward Edwards, and lands of Henry J. Tatnal, containing 140 acres more or less and he made his will on 1 Aug 1862 which directed his executors to sell the land within two years of his decease (Will Record Book Y, p. 349) and the land was sold at public auction to Thomas Holcomb for $19,735 on 18 Nov 1864, [detailed description of land -- note: Clark's Corner is now known as Hare's Corner] Signed James S.
