J. N. Flandreau married Sarah J. Florence on 16 November 1859, a ccording to the index for the December 14, 1859 issue of the Sac ramento Bee. Were they in California?

Known as Vue de L'Eau, the French Second Empi re-style house was built by John N. Flandreau, member of an ol d Huguenot family, in 1867. The house sits on its original sit e high above the Boston Post Road overlooking Mamaroneck Harbor.
