    John Owen Clark and Mary (Blair) Clark lived in Bedford County for many years, where they bore seven of there eleven children. About the year 1800 they moved to the Deerfield Township of Ross County, Ohio, where their last four children were born. John died 3 Jan 1811 in Ross County.

    John was born in Bedford, Pennsylvania to Captain William and Margaret Owens Clark who were both born in Scotland.
    He served as a Private in the Pennsylvania Militia during the American Revolution. John was married to Mary Blair, who was born in County Derry, Ireland. Father to Col. William Henry Clark (War of 1812) the founder of Clarksburg, Ohio.
