    On 11 Feb 1826, Daniel Clark, laborer, late of Hendricks County did in a rude and angry manner unlawfully touch strike beat and wound and other wrongs to David Matlock; [delay in coming to judgement is because of repeated difficulty of getting Clark to Court until he finally appeared on his own behalf and pleaded guilty].
