Personal History
John Anderson, son of Francis Anderson of Manby, Lincolnshire,[3] and Elizabeth[1] (Lodington), was born on 30 May 1683,[2] and he was baptized on the same day in the parish of Broughton (by Brigg), Lincolnshire, England.[1]
John, then living and likely unmarried, was a legatee in his father's will dated 27 February 1705[/6] (proved on 20 June 1706).[3] His father bequeathed to him £1,200 to be paid one month after the expiration of John's indentures made between him and his master and also £25 yearly during the time of his apprenticeship.
