Personal History

Edmund Anderson, (fourth) son of Francis Anderson of Manby, Lincolnshire,[5] by Elizabeth[1] (Lodington), was born on 18 March 1684/5,[2] and he was baptized on the same day in the parish of Broughton (by Brigg), Lincolnshire, England.[1]

Edmund, then living and likely unmarried, was a legatee in his father's will dated 27 February 1705[/6] (proved on 20 June 1706).[5] His father bequeathed to him £1,300 to be paid one month after the expiration of Edmund's indentures made between him and his master and also £25 yearly during the time of his apprenticeship.

Death and Probate

Edmund Anderson died on 1 April[2][4] and was buried on 19 April 1739 in the parish of Eyeworth, Bedfordshire.[3]

    This source records his date of death as 1 April 1740 (citing the monumental inscription), but in the parish register the date of burial occurs in 1739.
