"Yeager" on tomestone according to this reference, however, a photo of the tombstone shows "Yerger."
Witnesses to George Yerger will were Alexander Armstrong and David Smutzgun or Smutz Jun?
George Jurger. On 11 June 1821, George bought 220 acres, 143 perches of land in what is now Hartley Township from Dr. James Smith of Mifflinburg, PA. A purchase agreement of 18 Dec 1813 states that he is the son of Catarina and John Yerger.
Is this "George" the same as the ancestor of Earl Hoffman?? Is there any mention of George's wife? - EWH
