CHILD: Posting by Roger Rozendal ([email protected]) in Mar 2005. [Correct information?] Joseph LANDRY, (Abraham & Isabelle LE BLANC), wife Madeleine GODIN (Jean-Baptiste & Anastasie BOURG), and son Joseph age 1, along with his brother, Mathurin, were imprisoned at Halifax 12 August 1763. They came to Louisiana with Joseph Broussard and settled in Attakapas. Sometime between 1764 and 1766, Madeleine died. Joseph fled to Cabanocey in the Fall of 1766 with his brother and settled in Cabanocey (Judice's Company) where in the 1766 census is found: Joseph Landry age 23, Joseph age 3 son, Pierre age 2 son.

    Under "Documents officiels": on the census of the Riv St-Jean, four leagues down from the village of Ékoupahag, on the land of the deceased Mr. de freneuse [?], was Jean LINCOUR, his wife, four children, and a domestic.
