    John Herries died Parkhead 29.4.1826 aged 57, da Mary died in infancy, wife Janet Gibson died 5.1.1848 aged 76. John Harries joiner Glensone, son Williamm died 22.10.1839 aged 6 years. Henrietta Harries died 22.5.1850 aged 12. The said John Harries died Maxwelltown 16.11.1862 aged 59, wife Henrietta Kirkpatrick died same place 18.3.1882 aged 81

  3.   Marriage registrations are not available for Colvend and Southwick after 1760 until the introduction of civil registration in 1855. The neighbouring parish of Kirkbean has also been checked for this specific marriage.
