On the 1900 census, we see James, age 18, as a farm laborer with his uncle, James Denney(#16.4), in Bloomfield, Polk Co., Ia.(ED 91, p 5A, fam #58/59) In 1910 James and Daisie, both 28, have been married 3 years and are living in Webster, Polk Co., Ia. She has born one child, but it died. He is a farmer.(ED 184, p 7B, fam #81/81) On the 1920 census we find James A., 38, farming in Webster, Polk Co., Ia. Wife Daisie P., 38, is caring for the children .(ED 187, p 12B, fam #200/202) Daisy was the daughter of Harry M. and Mary J. (Porter) Bishop.
