    21 Sep 1832 Jacob Hawkins of Union District, SC requests administration of the estate of Nathan Hawkins. 
    11 Oct 1832 Jacob Hawkins, Henry Hardy (father of Eady) and John P. Sartor are to provide an inventory of Nathan’s estate.

Jeter, John Hawkins, Jacob Hawkins, Reuben Gilliam, Nathan Hawkins (?), Elisha or Elijah (smeared) Hawkins and Wm. Hawkins.
    State of South Carolina, Union District:  Know all men by those present that we heirs of Nathan Hawkins … of State and District aforesaid and in condition of the sum 4 hundred and four dollars to us in hand paid by Henry Hardy of the State & District aforesaid have granted bargained sold and released  & by these present do grant bargain sell & release unto the said Henry Hardy all that tract of land by in and being in the District Union and State aforesaid on the waters of Tyger River    [end of sheet]
    The following additional page was butted to the above for scanning & there are a couple of unreadable lines:  life grantee Nathan Hawkins and with the boundaries & distances agreeable to the original Plat & grant, Beginning at a pine & running S80 E27 60 L bounded by land of Henry Hardy to a ash, thence S27 E24 to a stake & bounded by Henry Hardy, then N02 W30.60 to the beginning cornered & bounded by land belonging to the land of William C Glenn ~ed . With all and singular the rights here   I~ainments   and appurtenances to the said premises there with belonging or in any wise incident thereto, to have and to hold all & singular the premises before mentioned unto the said Henry Hardy his land & assign forever and we do bind ourselves and each  of our heir executors & assign to warrant and defend forever all and singular the premises before mentioned from the lawfull claims or the claims of any person or person lawfully claiming the same or any part there of   Sealed with our seals & dated the Eighth day of December Eighteen Hundred & Thirty Two   Inter--- a before signed “ aforesaid “ to a stake & banded by land of Henry Hardy

    The signatures on this land sale are almost certainly the sons of Nathan Hawkins.

    Jacob Hawkins dies, and 30 Nov 1833 wife Eady F. (Hardy) Hawkins asked that brother-in-law Elijah Hawkins to be administrator of Jacob Hawkins, her deceased husband’s estate. He accepted. Elijah Hawkins & Wm. Kelly post securities in the amount of $1500 bond. On 17 Dec 1833 Thomas A. Calisle, Nathan Coleman, Henry Hardy, John P. Sartor appointed as appraisers.
    Purchasers of Jacob’s estate: Henry Hardy, Washington Sartor, Jeremiah Hamilton, John Hawkins, Edy Hawkins, Wm. Thomas, Nathan Hawkins (?), John P Sartor, Abner ?Mardis?, Nathan Coleman, Wm. Rogers, James Biddy, Elisha Hawkins, Randolph Jenkins, Henry Lee, Silas Woods, John Morgan, Marcus Ashford, John Cherry, Henry Rogers Thomas Sartor, Thomas A. Carlisle and Elijah Hawkins. [A lot of the same purchasers of Nathan’s estate.]
    27 June 1834 - Wm Kelly vs Elijah Hawkins. Kelly is released as security and Wm. Smithe & J. F. Glenn are added.
    26 Feb 1836 Cash Payments court report included “pd A. W. Dubois for clothing for J--- Hawkins, a minor [?]; W. B. Thomas for the board of Samuel Kelly a minor; George Kershaw tuition for Samuel Hawkins [?]. 
    After a 5 Apr 1844 date, further down, “The securities of Elijah Hawkins it is admitted have in their hand the interest of Jonathan Berry Hawkins, and Andrew Hawkins, the two minor children of the said Jacob Hawkins.
    2 Oct 1848 Jonathan Berry and Andrew H. request Uncle John Hardy as guardian [Mother Eady remarried to a Fieldon??].
