    Jacob Hawkins dies, and 30 Nov 1833 wife Eady F. (Hardy) Hawkins asked that brother-in-law Elijah Hawkins to be administrator of Jacob Hawkins, her deceased husband’s estate. He accepted. Elijah Hawkins & Wm. Kelly post securities in the amount of $1500 bond. On 17 Dec 1833 Thomas A. Calisle, Nathan Coleman, Henry Hardy, John P. Sartor appointed as appraisers.

    27 June 1834 - Wm Kelly vs Elijah Hawkins. Kelly is released as security and Wm. Smithe & J. F. Glenn are added.

    26 Feb 1836 Cash Payments court report included “pd A. W. Dubois for clothing for J--- Hawkins, a minor [?]; W. B. Thomas for the board of Samuel Kelly a minor; George Kershaw tuition for Samuel Hawkins [?]. 

    After a 5 Apr 1844 date, further down, “The securities of Elijah Hawkins it is admitted have in their hand the interest of Jonathan Berry Hawkins, and Andrew Hawkins, the two minor children of the said Jacob Hawkins.
