John’s brother, Thomas (b. 1765) had daughters Elizabeth, who married Archibald Smith (b. 1798), and Helen, who married Colin Robert Dunlop in 1841. John bought Ibrox House, renamed it Ibroxhill; his widow Isabella res there until her death in 1871; the house was owned by John McCall's nephews, McCalls of Daldowie (Old country houses of the old Glasgow gentry).
