Isobella SMITH was b. 29jan1784 and chr 7feb1784 at Glasgow (Latter Day Saints submission). Isabella married John MCCALL of Ibrox Hill (4jul1778, Breahead, Lanarks.-18oct1833 Ibroxhill), son of James McCall and Sarah Reid (A. Duncan, rootsweb). Isabella Smith of Jordanhill was b. 1784. John (4jul1778) of Ibrox Hill, died without issue 18oct1833, marr Isabella, eldest dau of Archibald Smith of Jordan Hill; Isabella d. 8feb1871, aged abt 86 ("Memoirs of my ancestors", Hardy Bertram McCall). Braehead was in Govan.

John’s brother, Thomas (b. 1765) had daughters Elizabeth, who married Archibald Smith (b. 1798), and Helen, who married Colin Robert Dunlop in 1841.

In 1875 the executors of late James McCall owned house, gdn, offices, land and minerals of Ibroxhill, Crosshill, Govan, Lanarks. (Valuation Roll).

Joannis McCall (No. 5108, matriculated 1790) filius natu tertius Jacobi Mercatoris in Com de Lanark nati; b. 4jul1778, of Ibroxhill, founder of the firm of John McCall and Co., died without issue (Matriculation albums, Glasgow University).
