Person:Isaac Miller (11)

I have been in contact with the descendents of Isaac Miller and Clarrissa Call. They are Scott and Nancy Fletcher. The information avaiable about Isaac, Clarissa and family points to them being a brother of my GG Grandfather Alfred Miller. I had long suspected that their son Thomas Cyrus Miller was Alfred's nephew but could not link them until now. In Clarissa's obit it states that Isaac died in 1855. There is a grave in The West End Cemetery at Berlin Heights, Erie Co., Ohio which I believe is the grave of Isaac. The inscription reads: Isaac Miller d. 7-11-1856 at 42 yrs, 8 months, 26 days. That puts his birth at about 10-15- 1813. With other Miller children in that cemetery, it leaves me with little dought that this is Isaac Miller. The Fletchers believe: that Isaac Miller was in Weston, Ohio buying land for the whole family so they could move to Weston. In fact Isaac owned a great deal of land in Weston, along with Lewis Miller, Alfred Miller's brother. Isaac was most likely born in NY because he is older than Lewis and Lewis was born in NY according to his obit. Isaac's estate was settled on November 18, 1863 ( Wood Co. Ohio Deeds Vol 10, p. 107 ) It was called the Miller addition. Isaac first apears in the 1840 census for Erie Co., Ohio p. 339. He is not in the 1850 census with his family. However, his father Thomas appears with Clarissa. Isaac and Clarissa also have children buried in the West End Cemetery, Berlin Heights, Ohio.
