(p 421, fam #163/112) On 1880 census, she is age 13, with parents, Grimes, Polk Co., Ia.(E D 175, p 586C, fam 219/22) 1900 census, James, age 33, is a farmer in Powhatan Twp., Pocahontas Co., Ia. With him is wife Ida J., age 32. She declares they have been married 1 year and she has born no children. James declares his parents also born in Pa. In 1910, James, 43, is a farmer on the home farm in Precinct 2, Webster Twp., Polk Co., Ia. Wife Ida J, 43, declares they have been married 9 years and she has born 2 children, seen with them. (ED 184, p. 12B, fam #36/36) By the 1920 census, James, age 52, is a farm laborer, general farm, in Des Moines, Polk Co., Ia. Ida , 52, is caring for the two children.(ED 85, p 16B, fam # 352/413) They resided there at 2932 Rutland Ave.
