Facts and Events
Holiday Hickinbottom was baptised on 27th February 1685 at Great Linford in Buckinghamshire, son of Amor and Ann Hickinbottom. He appears to have been the eldest of eleven or twelve children his parents had together. Some time between 1700 and 1702 the family moved from Great Linford to the nearby town of Newport Pagnell. Holiday's next sighting is on Christmas Day 1710, when he married Mary Bigg at Caddington in Bedfordshire. Holiday and Mary appear to then have settled in the nearby town of Dunstable, where they had five children baptised between 1717 and 1726. They may also have been the parents of a sixth child who was buried as an infant in Dunstable in 1714 but whose parents are not named. Holiday and Mary appear to have spent the rest of their lives in Dunstable. Mary was buried there on 19th Setember 1741. Holiday outlived her by less than a month, being buried on 14th October 1741. He was 56 years old. References
