Facts and Events
Amor Hickinbottom's origins are unknown. His first confirmed sighting is on 27th February 1685 at Great Linford in Buckinghamshire, when he and his wife Ann had a son named Holiday baptised. Holiday was the first of twelve children Amor and Ann had together between 1685 and 1704, although at least five of the children died young. Those baptised between 1685 and 1700 were all baptised at Great Linford, whilst the youngest two were baptised in 1702 and 1704 in the nearby town of Newport Pagnell. Amor died in 1709, just five years after the baptism of his youngest child. He was buried back at Great Linford, with the burial register describing him as a labourer. Ann outlived him by thirteen years. References
