Information about Henry that has verbally been passed down through the generations via different lines of descent, is that he was initially from Bavarian, Germany. I personally heard that the Hubach family were from Germany, near France from my grandmother and her sister, daughters of Alfred Borrill who was a grandson of Henry's granddaughter Agnes Hubach. Another living descendant heard that the Hubach family was from Bavaria. Ann received this information via a shorter line, her grandfather, Albert Hubach was the son of Henry's grandson, Edward Hubach.

A search on FamilySearch.org for Henry Hubach with a birth year between 1760 and 1780 which is estimated from his one known son's birth in 1797, results in a likely option with Johann Henrich Hubach who was born on the 3rd July 1771 in Erpolzheim, Bavaria or what is today Erpolzheim, Bayern, Germany.

There is no evidence connecting Henry Hubach who moved to England from Bavaria and Henrich Hubach who was born in Bavaria at about the right time. Meanwhile there is also no competing evidence so I am going to presume that this is the same person.

Also worth noting is that Henry was born in a wine making region and after his death, when his 16 year old son was baptised, his son was living and working in what was the German part of London. Working as a victualler (wine merchant).
