Mrs. Helen Brandt, 74, of Kilgore died Wednesday, September 9. She was born November 8, 1889, in Loudon Twp., a daughter of the late Ortho and Sarah (Kohler) Richards. She was married to Jay E. Brandt June 16, 1908, and they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last June Mrs. Brandt attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Kilgore.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. William Kinsey of Kent and Mrs. Wilbur Lahr of Canton; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Catherine Pretty of Carrollton, and a brother, John Richards, of Rocky River. Services were Saturday at the Sweeney Funeral Home in Amsterdam with rev. C. M. Hollensen of here officiating. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery at Kilgore.
