The 1910 census shows Hattie as 24, born in Kentucky, with 1 of 2 children living. By this time she was supposedly married for 6 years but lived with her widowed father. It was always believed that Ethel was her daughter who was living with them at this time. But Ethel is 9 while Hattie had been married only 6 years.

The 1920 census shows her living with Dad and Madge. Florence is listed as single. Madge is lised as a 15-yr old daughter of William. (First time a Madge shows up.)

Her husband was born in Ohio and is not listed on the census.

At some point Hattie moved to Ohio. She had a brain hemmorage and, after 8 hours, passed away. Hattie was a cook. She is listed as widowed but still went by her maiden name.

Hattie is buried in the Peterson Cemetery in Weston, WV with her father.
