Harriet Ross, daughter of Captain Charles and Harriet (Conklin) Ross was born on 15 May 1841. On 11 May 1865 she married William Ray Morris, son of William. R. and Sarah L. (Powers) Morris. William was born on 12 September 1836 in Cincinnati. The family lived for awhile in Toledo, Ohio. In 1881 they lived in Carthage, Sycamore Township (Hamilton County), Ohio. They may have lived in Burlington (Des Moines County), Iowa for awhile during the 1890’s. The 1900 census lists them as residents of Carthage, Ohio. By 1900 daughters Mary and Harriet no longer lived with the family. William died on 23 May 1901 and Harriet died on 17 November 1919. Both of them died in Carthage, Ohio and are buried at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati. Harriet’s death certificate information was provided by William Ross of the same address.
