Hans E. Green, 81, of Steele, Mo., died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at his home.
Born November 23, 1919, in Steele, he was the son of the late Amos and Virgie Frakes Green. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James Green; and one sister, Hilda Zahner.
He was a farmer and a cotton ginner. He was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the church of Christ in Steele.
Hans was united in marriage to Maybelle Barnes on March 14, 1984, in Steele.
Mr. Green leaves his wife, Maybelle Green, of Steele;One son, Rodney Barnes and his wife Tammy, of Steele; One daughter, Patricia Reynolds and her husband Jack, of Flint, Mich.; two step-sons: James Fleeman and his wife Polly of Houston, Tex., and Michael Barnes and his wife Sherry of Paragould, Ark.; two step-daughters: Beverly Westbrooks of Grant, Ala., and Anita Joe Vogeler of Rogers, Ark.;One sister, Elizabeth Dunahoo and her husband Frank, of Steele;
Sixteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Green were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001 at the church of Christ in Steele with Mr. John Mundy officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion cemetery in Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Drew Green, Jarred Green, Benji Barnes, Todd Reynolds, Dusty Beard, Travis Westbrooks, Micky Reynolds, and Jackie Reynolds Jr.
