JBC, p. 9: "On page 64 of Pioneers of Massachusetts by Charles Henry Pope, it states, this Hannah was sent to Flushing, Long Island, New York by her father, to apprentice for Thomas Hawkins in 1640. She was still living there in 1664. She is therefore too old to become the wife of Joseph Stanhope (born 1662) or Edward Marrett (born 1670), much less the mother of Stanhope children (born between 1685 and 1696) or Marrett chidren (born between 1694 and 1713). |
