He is on 1910 census, age 19, Rippey, Washington Twp., Greene Co., Ia., with parents.[ED 106, p 5B, fam #116/118] He married Nellie GROVES about 1913. She was born 26 Oct 1891. [SS] On the 1920 census, age 29, farming in Washington Twp., Greene Co., Ia. With him is wife Nellie, age 28, caring for their daughter.[ED 118, p 4B, fam #94/94] Grover was a farmer and a stockman. He died 1945 in Greene Co., and Nellie died 19 Jan 1991 in Greene Co., Ia. They are buried in Rippey Cemetery, Greene Co., Ia. On his tombstone in Lot 1, Block Nine, of Rippey Cemetery we are told there is a Masonic Emblem. [Rippey, Greene Co., Cemetery records, p. 38] In her obituary, 21 Jan 1991, Des Moines Register, p. 9, we see that she was 99, and died of a heart ailment. She lived in Perry, Dallas Co., and was a member of the Rippey United Methodist Chruch. She is survived by daugher Mary Zetta Lind of Rippey.
