12E.2 Burton A.(4) RITTGERS (Daniel3, Jacob2, John1) was born 10 Feb 1884,[SS} Rippey, Green e Co., Ia., the son of Daniel R. RITTGERS and Mary Ann FRY. He is on the 1910 census, age 26 , with parents in Rippey, Greene Co., Ia.[ED 106, p 5B, Fam # 116/118] He married Effie Mae FORD 16 Mar 1911. She was born 1888 [RGrCem, p 39]. in Ia. On 1920 census, we see Burton , age 35, in Paton, Greene Co., Ia., farming. Wife Effie, 31, is caring for the home. On the 1930 census, Paton, Greene Co., Ia., Burton owns a general farm, and they have a radio. He is 46 and declares he 27 when first married. Effie, 42, declares she 23 when first married. daughter Alice in the home. [Very poor copy] (ED 37-17, p. 1A, fam #17/17) We are told he was a stockman all his life. Effie died 1963 in Greene Co., Ia. On her tombstone we are told there is an Eastern Star Emblem. [RGrCem, p 39] Burton died Aug 1966 in Rippey, Gr eene Co., Ia. On his tombstone is a Mason emblem. He and Effie, with Baby Albert, are buried in Lot 6, Block Nine, Rippey Cemetery.[SS; RGrCem, p 39]
