12E.1 Almeda Catharine(4) RITTGERS (Daniel3, Jacob2, John1) was born 9 Aug 1881 in Greene Co , Ia., the daughter of Daniel R. RITTGERS and Mary Ann FRY.[GVRB, p 13; taken from p 29 of o riginal book, entry #376] She married Orsanus W. YOUNG 18 Mar 1909. On the 1910 census, Orsa nus, 27, is in Rippy, Greene Co., Ia., where he is a farmer. Wife Almeda, 28, declares the y have been married 1 year and she has born no children. In the home is one Martin J. Kopf , 36, laborer, who was born in Iowa to German parents. Also in the home, with no designation , is George Reynolds, 10, born in S.D., but parents' birthplace not given.[ED 106, p. 11B; fa m #240/243] On1920 census, Washington Twp., Greene Co., Ia., Orsanus, 37, is a farmer on a ge neral farm. Almeda, 39, is caring for their son.[ED 118, p 3B, fam #66/66] Family story repo rts she lived on the home farm near Rippey. Orsanus died 27 Dec 1955. Almeda died Mar 1971[SS ]. Her last given address was Perry, Dallas Co., Ia.[SS]
