Gordon L. Butcher 1929 ~ 2007 Gordon passed away Aug. 20, 2007 in Salt Lake City, UT.Born Feb. 22, 1929 in Salt Lake City, UT to Bert Richard and Rose Parry Butcher. Married Marlene Whitlock on Oct. 15, 1949; later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple, Oct. 15, 1965. Joined the Navy at age 17, serving on the USS Iowa, USS Helena and USS Repose at the end of World War II. Survived by his wife; three children, Vivian (Robert) Gillett, Connie Butcher, Gordon (Kathy) Butcher; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelma Hansen, Pat Gallagher, Judy (Pete) Gallagher. Preceded in death by three brothers.
