Mom passed away on January 18, 2012 in Sandy.

She was born November 2, 1932 in Salt Lake City to Leo Hyrum and Vivian Gardner Whitlock. She married Gordon Louis Butcher on October 15, 1949. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Survived by children; Vivian (Robert) Gillett, Connie, and Gordon (Kathy); nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also by a brother, Robert (Alice) Whitlock. Preceded in death by her husband.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), with a viewing prior from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Published in the Deseret News on January 20, 2012.
