Clarence "Bud" Butcher, 71, of Murray, Utah, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away May 4, 1997. He was born January 4, 1926, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Bert Richard and Rosetta Parry Butcher. He married Juanita Elliott on September 2, 1947, in Salt Lake City. He was a member of the LDS Church, having recently been baptized on March 29, 1997. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He loved spending his winters in Arizona. He served his country in World War II, having received a Purple Heart. He is survived by his wife, Juanita; four children, Craig (Becky) Butcher, Delynne (Garth) Peay, Ryan (Lisa) Butcher, Jeff (Ralene) Butcher; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Thelma, Pat, Judy; and one brother, Gordon. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at 12 noon at the Winchester LDS Ward Chapel, 6300 South 700 West. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 So. Redwood Road, and Wednesday, one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services at Redwood.
