Syracuse Post-Standard, 15 Dec 2011: GERTRUDE M. SMITH Gertrude M. Smith December 13, 2011 Gertrude M. Smith, age 77, resident of Mexico since 1960, formerly of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday. Gertrude was born February 28, 1934, in the Town of Orwell. She attended Sandy Creek Schools. Gertrude married Irving Smith on June 27, 1952. She was employed by A.C. Duell's in New Haven and Armstrong Molds in East Syracuse for many years. She was a former member of the Vorea Community Church. Surviving: her husband, Irving; one daughter, Joanne (Loren) Losito of Parish; four sons, Michael (Dawn) Smith of Mexico, Mark (Ann) Smith of Phoenix, Arthur (Marcia) Smith of Concord, NC, and Wayne (Kimberly) Smith of Mexico; one sister, Beverly Newton of Taberg; three brothers, Roy and Edward Monteith, both of Redfield, and Robert Monteith of Parish; nine grandchildren .... Funeral services will be held.... Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell
