  4. S. S. Manitoban No. 36, in John Dyck, editor, "Quebec Passenger Lists", published in Bergthal Gemeinde Buch (Steinbach, MB: The Hanover-S
    p. 5 (BGB page 308).

    'S. S. Manitoban No. 36 arrived in Quebec on July 27, 1875'
'Peter Heppner 47 labourer; Gertrude 50 wife; Johan 16 labourer; Peter 16 labourer; Franz 3 child; Sarah 19 spinster; Susanna 17 spinster; Helena 10 [11] child. Comments: B1843-B77. Franz's age 3 has been stroked out in the Quebec lists. Perhaps this was done in error as the Hamburg/Hamburg 9 July 1875 list confirms this age.'

The editors compared Quebec Passenger Lists to Hamburg, Germany Passenger Lists, and where the information was different, included the Hamburg information in square brackets [ ]. B1843-B77 refers to Bergthal Gemeinde Buch, page B77.
