    Gerberga of Saxony (c. 913 – 5 May 968/9 or 984?) was a French queen who ruled as regent of France during the minority of her son Lothair in 954–959. She was a member of the Ottonian dynasty. Her first husband was Gilbert, Duke of Lorraine. Her second husband was Louis IV of France. Contemporary sources describe her as a highly educated, intelligent and forceful political player.

    Gerberga, mitunter auch Gerberga von Sachsen, (* 913 in Nordhausen[1]; † 5. Mai 969) war Herzogin von Lothringen und westfränkische Königin. Die älteste Tochter des deutschen Königs Heinrich I. und seiner zweiten Gemahlin Mathilde und damit Schwester Kaiser Ottos I. entwickelte sich dabei aus der Rolle der Ehefrau in einer politischen Zweckehe heraus zu einer selbständig Politik betreibenden Frau, die schließlich in Vertretung ihres minderjährigen Sohnes Frankreich regierte.

    Elle est la fille d'Henri Ier l'Oiseleur, roi de Germanie et de Mathilde de Reingelheim (sainte Mathilde) et la sœur de l'empereur Otton Ier du Saint-Empire. Elle est inhumée dans le chœur de l'abbaye Saint-Remi de Reims.
