Biography

There is some indication that Moses spent some time in Henry County, Tennessee in the 1820s and 1830s, which may be where George was born; census records specify Tennessee, while his marriage record says Montgomery County, Kentucky.

On 7 May 1845, Moses and Martha Morrow deeded land to their son George H. in McCracken County (SW Qt4, Sec 4T6R1W) There are bequests also to Elijah Rudolph and JW Billington and Samuel Rice and Wife.[5]

On 7 Feb 1846, Martha, widow of Moses, is absolved of debt by Moses’ heirs: Samuel Rice, William Morrow, Elijah Randolph, George. H. Morrow, and J.W. Billinton.[6]

After that, George H. is found consistently buying and selling land in McCracken county for a period of 20 years. His wife Sue appears from 1853 to 1857, then Sallie from 1863 onwards.[7]

He dIed on a train near Cairo, Illinois. The inquest identified a tumor in his throat likely causing death by suffication.
