Deeds, Book X; Pg. 18 - 5/10/1845 Wilie Hobbs to George Morrow for the sum of $1, a crop of corn and cotton. Conveyed to secure debt owed to Henry W. Conner, where George Morrow is security. Signed (X) Wilie Hobbs and George Morrow. Witness; Lewis Alley. Iredell Co. Deeds, Book X; Pg 345 - 11/1/1845 George Morrow to R. J. McDowel, for the sum of $175, a tract of land joining M. J. Brevard, Moses A. White, Hobbs, containg 46 acres. Signed George Morrow. Witness; William H. Lindsey, & Jesse Hobbs, jurat. Proved Nov. 1846. Registered 12/3/1846.
George Morrow left a Will in Iredell Co., NC Dated 2/25/1868, recorded Will Book 4/ Pg 81; "...advanced in years and declined in health but of proper mind and memory" -All of my just debts be paid -To my son John Morrow, 1 wagon and gearing, one buggy and harness, 2 head of horses and 1/3rd of my hog stock, and all of my farming implements. -To my two daughters Mary Morrow and Rebecca Powers, all my stock of cattle and 2/3rds of my stock of hogs, all of my household and kitchen furniture to be divided equally between them both -To my two grandsons, Leroy McCrary and John Powers, my stock of sheep to be equally divided between them. -All of the above named property to be under the control of my beloved wife until her determination of life and then to the above persons. -I constitute my son John Morrow executor.
